RJG & Scientific Molding

PCI has added RJG technology to ensure that we have constant control and containment on all of the parts we produce from ppap to the end of that part's life. RJG technology's premise is that it's sensing what's happening in the mold itself.

So its material viscosity changes from lot to lot, we can ensure that the machine and the material are flowing and performing the exact way it was when we made our ppap run. That process creates a signature that RJG then monitors throughout the cycle in real-time. If a variation happens where upper and lower control limits are violated those parts that are quarantined and rejected for out of specification process. The machine will continue to run to reach equilibrium. And once the machine is at a point where it's making an acceptable product, per that RJG process, we will continue to package into the finished goods commitment.

One of the key components of RJG is not just its ability and the assets related to the technology, but also how the human resources are able to interact with it. We have a huge commitment to the technology, as well as the human resource development, in terms of training. We currently have two master molders and three master molder level one on our facility at any day.

My name is Gene Mussel and this is the Mussel Minute with the goal of educating the industry, as well as our customers on how PCI utilizes technology to provide exceptional quality to our customers. Plastic Components, commitment to quality starts with a scientifically developed injection molding process that is repeatable and reliable.
