1989:

PCI was founded with the transformative goal of creating a fully-automated manufacturing model and an unyielding commitment to “do it better” every day.

1995:

10,000 sq. ft. expansion to Morse Drive facility

2000:

10,000 sq. ft. expansion to Morse Drive facility

2002:

IQMS ERP System purchased and implemented

2005:

5,000 sq. ft. office expansion to Morse Drive facility

2008:

PCI named Plastics News Processor of the Year

2009:

PCI teams with RJG to embed automated process control capabilities (invested $1.2 mil from 2009 - 2016)

2011:

Bunsen Drive building is purchased and renovated as a state-of-the-art automated production facility

2014:

Bunsen Drive facility awarded a U.S. patent for lights out manufacturing process

2014

PCI named the inaugural recipient of Plastics News “Sustained Excellence” award and Plastics News “One of the Best Places to Work in the Plastics Industry” in 2014 and every subsequent year since

2015:

23,000 square foot addition added to the Bunsen Drive facility

2016-2017

PCI's Bunsen Drive facility now at 18 full-production cells with room to add an additional 22 cells

2017:

Bunsen Drive facility receives second U.S. patent for lights out manufacturing process.

Plastic Components, Inc. was acquired by Morgenthaler Private Equity (MPE) Group.

2018:

PCI adds two additional fully-automated cells to Bunsen Drive Location. A 500-ton press was added to the Morse Drive facility along with the addition of sonic welding capabilities. 

 

2019:

  • For the sixth consecutive year, Plastic Components, Inc. has been named as one of Plastics News’ Best Places to Work 2019
  • PCI acquires Syracuse Plastics of North Carolina, Inc. (SPNC), a regional manufacturer of engineered and high precision injection molded components, increasing the company's geographical footprint, press tonnage, value-added services, and short lot processing capabilities
  • New 46,800 square foot central distribution warehouse space secured in Germantown, WI improving material flow and logistics.
  • PCI adds three additional presses to Bunsen Facility bringing the total to 23 presses 

2020:

For the seventh consecutive year, Plastic Components, Inc. has been named as one of Plastics News’ Best Places to Work 2020

2021:

  • For the eighth consecutive year, Plastic Components, Inc. has been named as one of Plastics News’ Best Places to Work 2021
  • Ten additional manufacturing cells will be added to the Bunsen Drive facility to support customers’ growth and the growth of PCI
  • Now in full production, PCI added a fully-integrated, dedicated, insert molding/two-shot molding cell within the Bunsen Drive facility
  • The addition of a six-ton crane will support next-level growth for PCI’s “Innovation Way” - with the next generation of molding capabilities to support customers’ needs and requirements, with further room to grow
  • PCI acquires Sports Molding, LLC (SMI) of Clearfield, Utah. SMI is known for processing a wide variety of elastomeric resins in the medical, industrial, recreational, eyewear and consumer markets. The acquisition increases PCI’s geographical footprint as well as capabilities and end markets.

2022:

Plastic Components, Inc. acquired by Rosti Group – a global injection molding company and contract manufacturer with eight production facilities in Europe and Asia. Now with a worldwide geographic footprint, the acquisition has allowed Rosti PCI North America to offer expanded services and resources to our customers.
