Summary

Under the direction of the Molding Manager and Process Technician Team Leader, the Set Up Assistant is a utility person to help in the process of setting a mold for production. Set Up Assistants are responsible for much of the hands on preparation needed to prepare a job for production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary at any time.

1. Perform removal and set up of molds, secondary and auxiliary equipment per set up documentation.
2. Ensure that material packaging and supporting equipment are in place and ready to complete the set up and start production.
3. Clean loaders, grinders, and hoppers along with other auxiliary equipment and area surrounding the press.
4. Load and unload material according to specifications.
5. Assure scrap issues are recorded and addressed and corrected in a timely manner.
6. Communicate with company employees in a positive, team-oriented manner.
7. Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping and standards.
