The following is a proposed job classification to be used by PCI for the purpose of creating responsibilities and expectations for this position:

Tooling Technician –

·        Perform injection mold maintenance to include disassembly, cleaning, insert changing, and basic repair.

·        Maintain the preventive maintenance records for tooling per established procedures.

·        Assure tool readiness according to the production schedule.

·        Recommend changes required to part design, tool design or equipment capability to achieve acceptable quality and cost requirements.

·        Maintain proper housekeeping practices and mold storage requirements.

·        Participate and offer input to corrective and preventive action and continuous improvement projects.

·        Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
